Fragile calm in DR Congo’s Uvira as M23 rebels set withdrawal terms
The US says it’s ready to take action to enforce the peace accord between Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo.
On Tuesday, Rwandan-backed M23 rebels announced they would withdraw from the city of Uvira in eastern DRC but only if a neutral force was deployed to maintain security.
Life there is cautiously returning to normal.
