Israel illegal settlements: UN says settlements expansion has hit new record
Israel has approved plans to legalise 19 illegal settlements across the occupied West Bank. Palestinian officials condemned the decision, warning that it accelerates Israel’s annexation drive. Some of the settlements are newly established, while others already exist and will now be granted formal status. Israel has already built more than 100 illegal settlements across the occupied West Bank that are home to some 500,000 Israeli settlers.
