Syrians in Aleppo celebrate freedom but face billions in reconstruction costs
Syrians are celebrating the anniversary of the overthrow of the al-Assad dynasty’s repressive 50-year rule.
But while the mood in the nation is joyous, with people celebrating on the streets, chanting, singing and waving flags, “there’s a lot of work to be done”.
