UNSC briefing on Israeli occupation: Resolution demands end to settler violence
The UN Security Council has held a briefing on the implementation of a resolution that demands Israel cease all settlement activity in the Occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. The latest UN report on the resolution states illegal settlement activity has risen to its highest levels since the UN began tracking the issue in 2017. It also reported the highest recorded levels of Israeli military and settler violence, highlighting Israel’s increasing impunity.
